Senior Pastor
Barry Carpenter is the founding and lead pastor of Resurrection Church, where he serves alongside his wife, Kären. He has served as a pastor, teacher, church planter, mentor, and leadership catalyst throughout his years in ministry. He holds a B.A. in Theology, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctor of Education, with additional studies through Asbury Theological Seminary and Duke Divinity School.
A lifelong student and disciple of Jesus, Barry has a deep love for Scripture, theology, history, art, books, travel, and—above all—people. He is passionate about shepherding the Church, mentoring leaders, and walking alongside others as they grow in their relationship with Christ. His genuine love for Jesus and the people God has entrusted to him is at the heart of everything he does.

Executive Pastor
Pastor Brandon has served almost 2 decades training, equipping, and strengthening the Body of Christ. He is passionate about God’s presence, God’s word, and equipping God’s people for Kingdom impact. He adds to the team years of international leadership experience and missional ministry development. His most important call is as a husband to Cary and spiritual leader to their family.
Worship Pastor
Pastor Quinten & Siera Howard have been married for 13 years and have two wonderful children. He has a passion for helping people encounter Jesus through worship. He loves creating environments where people can grow in their faith, discover their gifts, and use them to glorify God. Outside of church, he enjoys writing music, working on projects, and finding creative ways to serve others. A verse that has continually shaped his life and ministry is Colossians 3:23: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."
Youth Leaders
Pastor Sonny & Sydney Robison love serving together and consider it a joy to live the dream alongside their best friend. After 3½ years of marriage, they enjoy coming home to the dinner table and celebrating all that God is doing in and through their church.
Associate Pastor
Pastor Sonny Robison has served in ministry for over a decade in a variety of roles and has a deep love for the local church. Originally from South Lake Tahoe and later raised in Southern California, he attended the University of Redlands, where he played quarterback and earned his degree. His heart is to see people experience the transforming power of the Gospel and to serve others in a way that leads them closer to Christ.
Executive Assistant
Sydney Robison was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, and has a passion for helping people live with greater purpose without striving. She encourages others to make room for slow moments with the Lord, embrace Sabbath, and care for themselves so they are ready for what God has called them to do. She loves reading, sewing and knitting her own clothes, and enjoying a good cup of hot tea.
Academy/Children’s Director
Maegan has been married to her husband, Jonathan, for 19 years, and together they have three children. After nearly two decades as an active-duty military family, the Pappas family will officially retire from military life in 2026. Maegan is passionate about helping children and families grow in their faith and loves seeing young disciples excited to learn about Jesus. Outside of church, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, especially at the beach.
Ministry Assistant
Mena Teal enjoys the opportunity to assist visitors, members, and staff in any way she can. She is passionate about humbly serving others and reflecting the compassion of Jesus in all that she does. Outside of her role at Resurrection Church, she enjoys spending time with her two wonderful grandchildren.
Media Director
Kaylen Morales loves seeing ideas come to life and enjoys using the gifts God has given her to bring creativity and joy to His Kingdom. A Texas girl born and raised, she now calls Alabama home while her family remains back in Texas. She is passionate about serving the Lord because she knows her life is a testimony of His love and grace. Her desire is that every story—including her own—would bring glory and honor to the King of Kings. One verse that continually guides her is Galatians 5:1.
