New Serve Opportunities
As Christians we are called to serve others to God’s glory! Below are some current/ongoing opportunities to serve this church and the surrounding community!
- Plug in to SERVE on Sundays! We have easy opportunities to get involved, meet people and serve to the glory of God on Sunday mornings. Click HERE to get involved today!
- Another new way to SERVE! We are beginning a Wednesday Welcome Team, built specifically to welcome new faces during our Wednesday night mealtime. We want guests to feel welcome here at all times (not just Sunday mornings) and what better way to do that than over a meal together? We want YOU to be the friendly face you would want to see if you were coming here for the first time. Sign up to serve here!
Opportunities to Serve!
Parking Crew
Sometimes knowing where to park is the most confusing part of visiting a new church! When we have a crowd coming in, we utilize an amazingly helpful crew to be at our entrances guiding cars in and out, keeping things smooth and safe!
Food Service
Heather, our Culinary Director, leads a team of volunteers each Wednesday afternoon to cook and assemble a wonderful hot meal for members and visitors to enjoy before our midweek Bible study classes. Wednesday night meals are something our church looks forward to every week and it would not be possible without volunteers like YOU. If you’re interested in jumping into the kitchen with Heather, click here. She’d love to get you in the rotation!
Connect Center
Our Connect Center, located in the back of our Worship Center, is there to get First Time Guests (FTGs), well, connected! We have Connect Cards, a FTG gift and some Resurrection swag! Be the friendly face for a new face!
Greeters/Ushers
This group truly helps people feel welcome, as if we’re all family! Want to be a friendly face? Email us to learn more!
Holy Communion Servers
The first Sunday of every month, we participate in Holy Communion during worship. Each month, we ask for four volunteers (two pairs) to help Pastor Barry during this holy sacrement and serve those attending worship that Sunday. What an honor to serve your church in this way! If you’re interested in serving Communion, Lauren would love to get you set up. Click here to email us.
Tech Ministry
Whether you’ve been here for 20 years or are brand new to our church, it is evident we have made strides in our technology department. Our tech team, led by our Tech Director, Jared, work each Sunday behind the scenes to give our members and guests a worship experience that is seamless, professional and intimate. It takes a village to pull this off and Jared is always looking for an extra pair of hands to help (and can teach anyone how to work a station). Click here to visit our Tech page! The interest form is at the bottom of the page.
Music Ministry
Sunday worship is our “game day” here at Resurrection Church. We are blessed with so many musically-gifted individuals who use those gifts to glorify God. If you believe God is calling you to share your musical talent (vocals or instruments), we encourage you to do just that! Our Worship Director, Quinten, leads both our praise band and our choir and would love a chance to speak with you about possible opportunities on stage. Click here to fill out the inquiry form.
Flower Ministry
We have a unique part of worship where a beautiful bouquet of flowers is donated to the church to be displayed during worship. Once worship is over, that bouquet is then broken down into several smaller bouquets and delivered to those who may be home-bound, ill, or in need of a “pick-me-up.” Our Flower Ministry is second to none! There are a couple ways to get involved here. If you’d like to donate a bouquet of flowers for worship (a dedication will be acknowledged during the service, if desired), click here to email us.
Prayer Ministry
It’s hard to think of a better way to serve someone than to pray for them. We believe in the power of prayer here at Resurrection Church and we have a group of prayer warriors who meet each Wednesday at 4 p.m. in our 1st floor chapel area in the Worship Center. You don’t have to sign up to join this ministry – just show up and join! If you have any questions, click here to email us. Additionally, if you have a prayer request, click here.
Rez Kids
We are so blessed to have an ever-growing children’s ministry! We are always looking for shepherds to help manage our flock on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. This ministry is always Safe Sanctuary-compliant. To learn more about volunteering either in our nursery (infant – 4K) or with our children (K – 5th grade), email David.

Neighborhood and Nations
Our Serve Team (formerly known as our Missions Committee) meets monthly and serves others beyond our church walls. They are the embodiment of serving “neighborhoods and nations” to the glory of God. Projects include: Operation Christmas Child, packing lunches for McKemie Place, child sponsorship through Compassion International, support of Prodisee Pantry and MORE. This team is always welcoming new faces. If you’d like to volunteer, email us for more information on the next meeting!
Rez Crew
Rez C.R.E.W. (Christians Ready, Equipped & Willing) is a group of people here within the congregation that is available to help others in our church with odd jobs they may need help with. Need a tire changed? Have a ceiling fan that needs to be installed? Have unruly shrubs that you can’t seem to get under control on your own? Rez C.R.E.W. will help! Want to be part of our our CREW? We are interested in anyone with any sort of skill set who are Ready, Equipped & Willing to help others.
Change for a Dollar
CFAD is a ministry of this church where money collected in a separate offering is used to help those who come to the church in search of financial assistance. We have helped people in our community keep their utilities on, put gas in their vehicle, paid for a night in a motel, and given them resources to find jobs, food, and housing. We aren’t always able to help every person who comes in, but the CFAD committee does their very best to help in some way. This ministry is 100% dependent on the generosity of our congregation.
Family Promise
Family Promise of Baldwin County serves as a bridge between homelessness and permanent housing for local families. Churches around the county, including Resurrection Church, act as hosts for a week each quarter as needed for these families. Volunteers (that’s YOU!) can serve these families through providing meals or being an overnight host. Each family and the overnight host have their own room for sleeping (no shared spaces between families). Volunteer opportunities with this ministry are made available to the congregation as they get closer to their designated host week. Be on the lookout!
